LG X300 Launched in with
Android Nougat, 5-inch Display
LG mobiles recently announced a new mid-range smartphone in South Korea named as the LG X300. The newly launched smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Presently, the latest mobile is available only in the South Korean market at a price of 2,53,000 Korean Won (roughly Rs 14,800).
Coming to the specifications of the LG X300,
the smartphone features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display. The device comes
equipped with a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with Adreno
308 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage.
"We will strengthen our competitiveness in
the line-up by providing smartphones with excellent multimedia features and
luxurious designs at reasonable prices." said Lee Sang-Gyu, Head of LG
Electronics Korea Mobile Group.
The LG X300 offers a 13MP primary rear camera
alongside a 5MP front facing snapper. The device is backed by a 2500mAh
battery. The camera on the device has features like 'Auto Shot' and 'Gesture
Shot'. The Auto shot allows the users to take selfies with ease as it automatically
recognizes a user's face and captures the image.
The connectivity options on the device include
Wi-Fi, NFC, USB 2.0 Type B, and Bluetooth. The device measures dimensions at
144.8x72.1x8.09mm and weighs 142 grams. It will be made available for purchase
in Dark Blue and Silver colour options. The phone also has a dedicated
fingerprint scanner on the rear panel of the device. At this point, it is not
known whether LG will introduce the smartphone in India and other global
markets anytime soon.
The LG X300 will compete against likes of the
Xiaomi Note 3, Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, Lenovo Vibe K5, Honor 4X, Swipe Elite
Plus, Asus Zenfone 2 Laser, and few others. LG is believed to launch plenty of
new devices at the MWC 2017. The company is also expected to launch its
flagship smartphone, the LG G6 at the MWC 2017. LG has already sent out the
media invites for its event on February 26.
The LG G6 is rumoured to come equipped with
Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and 6GB of RAM. It will also support Quick Charge
4.0 and ditch the modular design like its predecessor. Also, the company is
reported to adopt a new heat pipe cooling technology to keep the device cool.
