Oppo A57 Selfie Smartphone to Launch on February 3
Oppo Mobile India has announced that its will
introduce its selfie-focussed A57 smartphone in Indian market on February 3.
The smartphone was launched back in November last year in China for a price of
Rs 1,599 (roughly Rs 16,000). It will be available in two colour options- Rose
Gold and Gold. There is no details of the pricing of the Oppo A57 are known
yet.
The Chinese OEM, Oppo has recently made an
announcement on its official Twitter handle which has confirmed the India
launch of A57 smartphone. The tweet stated that the Oppo A57 smartphone will
hit the markets on February 3. The tweet hints that the smartphone will be
available for purchase right on the launch day itself.
The Oppo A57 features a 5.2-inch HD (720x1280
pixels) display covered under a 2.5D curved glass. It is a dual-SIM mobile
running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS customised with ColorOS 3.0 skin on top.
The handset is equipped with a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core
processor paired with 3GB of RAM, Adreno 505 GPU, and 32GB of internal storage.
On the camera front, the Oppo A57 offers a 16MP
front camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. The primary
rear camera has a 13MP lens with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, and PDAF. The
device has a fingerprint scanner embedded in home button.
The storage on Oppo A57 can be expanded via
microSD card up to 128GB. The connectivity option on the device include 4G LTE,
Bluetooth, USB, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and Wi-Fi. The device receives the power
from a 2900mAh battery. It measures dimensions at 149.1x72.9x7.65mm and weighs
147 grams.
The Oppo F1S was the latest mobile from the
company before A57 in India. The smartphone was launched back in August last
year. The 5.5 incher F1s from Oppo mobiles offers 720 x 1280 pixels HD
resolution and a 267 PPI Density. As far as the camera is concerned, the Oppo
F1s supports 13 MP Primary and 16 MP Front camera with Touch Focus. In
November, the company refreshed the F1S smartphone with more RAM and internal
storage capacity.
